How to create a comic book

In Kauri we have been learning to create a comic book. Then we had to make a slide,doc or drawing to show how we made a comic.  Here is mine hope you enjoy.

Kauri at fishing
On the 18th of october Kauri class went fishing with Peter from fish and game. We drove to the Grones to try and catch some fish and release the salmon we have been raising as eggs. When we were raising the salmon, the eggs hatched and after a couple of days we did not need to feed the salmon. The salmon also had this thing under there neck. Some days Peter would come and tell us the life cycle of a salmon and what they do in their life. Here are some photos of what we did at fishing.

Eze's Birthday

In Kauri Class we have been learning on recounts. Are focus was to use paragraphs, punctuations and improving after we wrote are recount. We also had a buddy conference to help us improve our writing. My recount is about going to Mega air for my 10th birthday.

Eze’s Birthday

On the first Sunday of the holidays most of my friends( Blake,Blake, Saxon, Isaac,Koby and Hunter) jumped into there cars and drove to mega air. We went there for the celebration of my 10th birthday party.

When we got to mega air I got all the presents from my friend. We then had to take of all are socks and shoes and watch the safety video. The video was boring because it was not fun seeing all the stuff you could not do like double bounces and you have to land on 2 feet.

Finally after the video was over we got to play. The first thing we did was dodgeball, it was exciting hiding under the top of the balls but we lost the game when the other team found out. We then just went bouncing around and found this thing called “The Pipe” it was a thing were the walls were bouncy but the floor was not. The last thing we did was the foam pit I jumped off the trampoline and cannon balled into the foam. I was a bit scared because I thought I would drown in the foam but I just swam to the other side of the foam pit.

Then after 1 hour the time at mega air was over. All my friends drove back to my house. We all had a nerf war when my Mum was getting the food for us. After the nerf war the food still was not ready so we all went to a graveyard next to templeton school and we were trying to find are name on a grave but nobody found their name on a grave. As soon as we came back there was food to eat.

About after an hour of playing we then took everybody home. When we dropped off my friends we gave them a piece of cake because we ate so much food that everybody was to full to eat a piece of cake.

As soon as we dropped off everyone I drove back to my house and I felt excited about going to mega air for the first time and a bit scared about turning 10 and my first year as a double digit.

Winter Fun day.

On September the 9th year 4 to 8 from Yaldhurst School got to go to Mt Mutt and did skiing. At first I was really scared that I might fall over but when I fell over it didn't hurt so I just carried on skiing.

Folk Dance

In Kauri we were learning Folk Dance and once we learned some famous songs we got to create a new folk dance and are group made a dance called "The Egyptian"we had lots of fun and we created a new move. Also are group was called Mess and here is are dance.

Electricity Journal

In some of the weeks we started doing science about electricity and we got this electricity journal to write what we have been learning and this is mine.

In term 3 we started doing novel study and we finished 3 sheets and sheet 4 we finished half of it. I really want to finish the fourth sheet so are group can make the movie of the book. Here are the sheets of the books that we did.

Now back to the funniest story of the week: Mr M from Yaldhurst model school in Christchurch favourite soccer team called stoke was versing Newcastle united in Antarctica and his team sadly lost and the crowd was stuck in the line  because Mr M was at the front and was trying to pick up his favorite donut on the ground because somebody said his donut was poisoned but was not. When he was trying to pick it up he farted and the fart crew drove to the entrance and they were wearing toxic masks one person breathed in a bit of air and said it was toxic . The entrance of the game was closed.              

Mr M was arrested  for fart murder because the person in the fart crew breathed in his fart and died, he went to a secret laboratory being tested for his toxic farts but died because he farted inside of himself and burnt all his body and blew up because he ate a bomb while licking his favorite rat called bubbles and eating bubbles at the same time.     

        

My Story

It all took place on my friends farm . My friend Eben father was a scientist. He tried to go to other planets but everybody thought he was crazy. Eben was so sporty, I love to play awesome games that he made up. Well anyway back to his father.

When his father was doing the planet thing he was so tired that he fell asleep. He dropped to the ground and the machine he was making broke but what he didn’t know was that he made a black hole.

After he woke up everything was on fire. He ran as fast as the wind out of his science shed, he was so sad. The fire went out some how but it wasn’t a windy day. The black hole suked out the fire then it was as big as a pencil.

Eben’s father pulled the black hole with a stick all the way to his garage.

He knew he had put it somewhere safer but it was too late. The black hole sucked his house,Eben’s dad, town,city,country,the whole world but nobody noticed the small stuff that the black hole took but it took a day to get all the stuff . It took us all the way to another planet bulb because it had that sign when we came there. It had redis ground.

Hello and welcome to S.E.I News and today we are talking about a man that had an attempt to

climb a very tall building here's Eze telling us what happened. Thank You for that Saxon, the man climbed up to the big clock and the clock broke and his friend gave him a rope but the cop chased his friend and nothing was holding him, the man held the rope and fell but at the last second his friend outran the cop and grabbed the rope. The Man climbed up the roof and got up the top of the building but when he got up he got smashed by a wind measure and he on the side of the roof and was going to fall but a rope got hang of his foot. He sung like spider and sung back to where he was at first and his wife got hold of him.

.He did not have any safety stuff with, him and since  there were no laws about safety in those days he just did It without caring If that was me It would be very scared.

Sharks, up to 3m long,were seen close to shore at North Beach, Paraparaumu,yesterday morning and at Raumati mid afternoon. The next morning   one shark was found stuck in a fishing net. Scientist say that their are about 10 of these sharks in the world and 3 in New Zealand, 5 in Antarctica,1 in the Australlia and 1 for supper. The Australians say g'day mate to the sharks and there was a body found on the beach and bite marks and blood all over him. People say that if you drink 1 litre of fresh blood from the shark you will stay alive for 200 year old. After 2 weeks of searching  for all the sharks were found on the bottom of the ocean. Scientist were looking inside the body of the sharks and said they were vegetarians and said they might have died from not having food  the last thing they said that the sharks should be called Jaws .

Dear Rochelle,

Hi, my name is Eze. I am from Yaldhurst Model School. You won’t remember me but I did tree climbing with you for camp and I had the Elder wand. I would like to thank you for coming to camp and I had a great time.

My top one  favourite part at camp was the hydro slide it was so fun and the super bowl made me a bit dizzy. I also enjoyed tree climbing. I got to the top of one trees but not to the top of the tree were you were. Orienteering  I really enjoyed  at camp we did really good at getting 390 points and it was cool getting lost to get number 25. The Paint game was my top two favourite thing at camp. I only got three different colours and only went in my home base two times.

I would really like to ask you a couple of question. Did you like the food at camp ? What was your favorite activity at camp? Are you going to camp again ? Did you have a good time camp ? Were you tired after the hike ?  Did you like the hot pools?  

Once again I would like to thank you for coming on camp. I really had a great time and I hope you did to. I really enjoyed having you on camp . I hope you go to camp again. You are awesome !

It all started when I went to an abandoned house on Lakewood Rd. I went with a couple of friends . I had a sick feeling in my stomach but I didn’t want to be called a scaredy cat so I had to go in first.

Then a big vampire jumped out the door and I was too slow to run away. All my friends ran away because they were behind me.

Sadly the vampire bit me and I was forced to stay in the abandoned house because if I went out in public people would definitely kill me. The next day I got used to being a vampire. I had lots of power but the only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn't go out in sunlight. I missed playing outside and because I was angry at the vampire that bit me, I killed him with a wooden stick when he was asleep. I then didn’t have anything to do so I flew around the abandoned  house  as a bat. I came to a picture and it was crooked so I put it straight.

Out of the blue the wall the picture was on opened and there  were lots of potions. After the wall opened I saw all the cool potions like how to turn into a ghost and how to fly. Then I found this potion that was labeled how to turn into human and I thought if I drank it I would turn into a human again but I didn’t drink it straight from the bottle because it looked a bit old. So as I was walking to the kitchen in the abandoned house I tripped over a piece of wood and I fell on the dead vampire body and the potion spilt all over him. Then the dead vampire came back to life as a zombie which does make sense. I ran back to the picture and made it crooked so the zombie didn’t follow me inside the potion room. I found this potion that said how to turn into a ghost and drank it. Then I turned into a ghost and went through the wall and went inside the zombie and found the potion inside of him. 

In the end I drank the potion inside the zombie which was gross but worth it because I turned into a human again and the zombie died.

I ran to my house and my Mum and Dad said, “Where were you?”.

I just said “I was at a sleepover.”
