Here is another story from Newsbites created by Eben and Me
Jaws Alert
Sharks, up to 3m long, were seen close to shore at North Beach, Paraparaumu, yesterday morning and at Raumati mid afternoon. The next morning one shark was found stuck in a fishing net. Scientist say that their are about 10 of these sharks in the world and 3 in New Zealand, 5 in Antarctica,1 in the Australlia and 1 for supper. The Australians say g'day mate to the sharks and there was a body found on the beach and bite marks and blood all over him. People say that if you drink 1 litre of fresh blood from the shark you will stay alive for 200 year old. After 2 weeks of searching for all the sharks were found on the bottom of the ocean. Scientist were looking inside the body of the sharks and said they were vegetarians and said they might have died from not having food the last thing they said that the sharks should be called Jaws .
I am going to take it from this that you are interested in sharks. I akust admit that I am frightened of sharks. In a recent trip to Port Douglas I was swimming in the ocean when the skipper of the boat yelled that there were sharks in the water. i immediately embarked on to the boat whilst two Australians jumped in to have a look. I still wonder about that. I look forward to your next blog post.
ReplyDeleteEz,ask Ta about what happened when he watched the movie "Jaws" when he was a boy.
ReplyDeleteWe can watch some documentaries on sharks if you like? I think they're very interesting- and sometimes misunderstood- too.
